Drains made for Oil-free type compressors are treated with hard coating and the diaphragm material is Viton, to combat the higher corrosive nature of oil-free compressed air. Drains made for Oil lubricated type compressors are treated with a softer coating and the diaphragm material is NBR, as oil-lubricated air is typically less corrosive.
Be sure to select the operating pressure range that suits your desired output. If the operating pressure is below the minimum setting, the drain will not open to release the condensate. Furthermore, if the operating pressure is higher than the maximum setting, select the next higher range to make sure operating pressure falls within the pressure range of the drain.
